On the UK Albums Chart, ''Sheryl Crow'' reached #5. As of February 2008, it had sold 880,344 copies in the UK and is certified 3× platinum. The song "Love Is a Good Thing" criticizes Walmart's gun sales policy, with the lyrics "Watch out sister, watch out brother, watch our children while they kill each other with a gun they bought at Walmart discount stores". Walmart banned sales of the album at their stores.
